Never ever create an account on social media out of peer pressure my friend!. You don’t know how exhausting it is to keep your mind running on this platform. Your thoughts keep poking to keep a check on the worldly things happenings around, which doesn’t fetch you anything. The more you consider this rose-coloured photos seriously, the more it depresses you.
FOLLOWERS AND FRIENDS LIKE ME
MYTH 2: ALL MY FOLLOWERS AND FRIENDS WORSHIP ME
Poof!! pardon me for bursting your bubble, This is the hard fact for most of us to believe that, your friends or followers over the internet are not someone who you can trust upon. There is al kind of stalkers who prey you in their leisure time. Well, I am not denying there are your friends, who are genuine as well- But if you are in a rat race of making large friends network and look upon adding strangers over the Internet, then you are inviting trouble to your Life!
PS: There is an increase in the number of cybercrime cases, only for the reason of chatting with strangers and let them sneak in your personal life.
LIKES AND HEARTS SHOWER IN MY POST
MYTH 3: I’M REALLY COOL IF I GET A LOT OF ‘LIKES’
Uhmm, Let me put this politely- ‘Like’ Doesn’t mean He/she Likes you truly. A Thumbs up cannot dignify your life.It is deceiving because most people are only scrolling through their feed and double tap at first sight, out of compulsion. “Likes or No Likes” should never be a deciding factor in your life.
Besides, If your profile is public, then you are indirectly helping traction towards your personal space. Sorry, Hon!
PS: Don’t have to flaunt every single incident of your life on the internet, and regret later with the mixed reactions we get from a different set of people.

Understand the basic difference of each social media, If you haven’t realized it already. Each platform has its own vibe. Facebook is to connect with your Friends. Insta is for sharing pictures that you’d like to erase in 24 hours, and Twitter is for staying updated. So, Don’t just post your personal photos or information on social media, without realizing what it is actually for, Because, you may receive max eye roll traction!
DIY AND MAKEUP TUTORIALS
MYTH 5: THOSE DIY TUTORIALS LOOK SO EASY
So, Have you tried your hands on those DIY tutorials? Tried to blend make up the way it is shown on the internet? Did you succeed doing it the same way?
If you did, then you are highly skilled mate!
For me, after umpteen attempts of trying those DIY’s, I understood that it takes a lot of effort and a number of retakes that happen behind the scenes to get that perfect finish!
It involves lighting, camera angles and a number of retakes. So, Don’t imagine it will be done in one go.
MYTH 6: THAT COUPLE IS #RELATIONSHIPGOALS + #TRAVELGOALS
Last but not least!Hashtag life! These hashtags are probably the reason why youth are living in the La-La land full of unrealistic expectations. No, the waters aren’t that blue- there’s a magical filter to make it so attractive.; and that happy-looking couple in there does go through lots of hassle in life, just like anyone. so, Don’t even compare your partner with the filtered looks happy couple. We are not saying to be a sceptic, but don’t let these unrealistic hashtags and pretty looking filters delude your actual Happy Life either.
